07 April 2010 - Back to It
So I managed not to update my website once for the entire year of 2009. I guess I was waiting for some official announcement as to my ride or team for the year, but it never quite came through. Kyle Sarasin and I had an awesome time pushing through Sno*Drift, but he wasn't able to secure funding for us for the entire year, despite his third overall standing in 2008. Also, real life got in the way, so I took the opportunity to focus on everything that needed to be completed away from rallying. I graduated college, started my career at Ernst & Young, visited my family in Kenya for the first time in 18 years, got my dad to enter a rally and run father-son, and moved out on my own. Now that all that's taken care of, I guess I can focus on rallying again!
For 2010, I've run the first two rounds of the season with Tim Penasack/Wazoo Racing, and we've had two smooth finishes that have put us 3rd in SP, just 1 point out of second. Unfortunately, Tim won't be able to make the west coast rounds, so my season may come up a bit incomplete. Still, it's nice to be back running consistently and pushing hard. Look for some real blog posts/updates in the future (I promise?), but honestly the working life doesn't quite allow for so much frequent updating of personal websites like college life did.
