29 December 2008 - New Year, More Changes
The last quarter of 2008 was an awesome experience. If you missed it, you can read my British Rally Blog.
In short, rallying in the UK was certainly an awesome experience and a great way to become more experienced, make some new friends and connections, and most of all, conquer some new challenges. Every stage at every national rally I competed in was a legendary RAC Rally stage traversed, conquered, and crashed on by all the greats I've idolized since childhood. I was literally a rally tourist experiencing every stage...
I also did a fair bit of travelling and spectating. I travelled to Scotland, Wales, London, Oxford, Paris, Barcelona, Malaga, Morocco (Tetuan), Rome, Frankfurt, the Nurburgring, Cologne, Belgium, and Luxemburg (just for the hell of it) to name a few. I also spectated McRae Stages 08 with all the retired World Rally Champions having one last go at it, and Wales Rally GB aka Subaru and Suzuki's last race in the WRC. Not to shabby for a 15 week trip. Oh, and I went to school for a term. Forgot about that! :)
2009 will yet be another year of new challenges and more changes. As of today, I'm a free agent for the 2009 season and looking for a new ride...so who knows where this year will take me.
